Based in Sydney, Shao Hong is a dynamic financial executive who has had a considerable impact in managing global transactions, investments, and operations with rigorous risk assessment and governance in place. In her most recent position as Head of China Assurance Practice with PwC Australia, Shao Hong provided technical leadership on financial reporting and assurance.
Ms. Hong's work also involved financial due diligence and oversight of complex cross-border engagements. She worked with various Australian audit clients in reviewing Chinese operations following acquisitions. She thoroughly reviewed local audit work, assessing corporate value and identifying key risks. She was also an engagement partner on various IPO readiness undertakings. This work was built on a role as Director with EY Australia that required coordinating complex IPO projects and other technical assignments.
Earlier in her career, Shao Hong's engagements encompassed several months spent working as a Senior Manager with EY US in Cleveland. Moreover, she is the former National Treasurer with the Australian China Business Council. A travel enthusiast, she has had the opportunity to experience EdgeWalk at the CN Tower in Toronto.
